香格纳新加坡 | 从波普到新媒体 8月19日开幕

香格纳新加坡空间将于2017年8月19日至10月22日举行“从波普到新媒体”艺术家群展，展览将展出七位艺术家的作品：计文于、孙逊、王广义、魏光庆、薛松、张鼎和张恩利。

本次展览将展出中国当代艺术家的波普艺术及新媒体作品。参展艺术家全部为享誉海内外的知名当代艺术家。他们都长大于整个社会和全球政治快速改造的时期，这促进了他们对艺术创作媒介的不时尝试，正是这种改造构成了各艺术家艺术作品演进的差别性。

波普艺术是20世纪50年代在英国和美国兴起的一波艺术运动。在中国，波普画风兴起于20世纪90年代，计文于、王广义、魏光庆和薛松等开端运用波普艺术创作技巧，将具有历史、政治寓意的符号并置在一同。

ShanghART Singapore is pleased to present a group exhibition byseven artists - Ji Wenyu, Sun Xun, Wang Guangyi, Wei Guangqing, Xue Song, ZhangDing and Zhang Enli from 19 August to 22 October 2017.

Thisexhibition focuses on art works ranging from Pop Art to New Media incontemporary art by Chinese artists. The artists featured are notable leadingcontemporary artists whom have exhibited internationally. They were born andbred in an era where the social and global political scenes are ever-changing,and these are reflected in their constantly challenging of mediums used, andnegotiation of the nuances and effects of these changes among individuals.

Pop art is an art movementthat emerged in the 1950s in Britain and the United States. In the 1990s, someChinese artists - Ji Wenyu, Wang Guangyi, Wei Guangqing, Xue Song - startedusing Pop Art techniques, juxtaposing historical and political icons.

出生于上世纪80年代的新一代艺术家张鼎和孙逊则突破传统，以全新的视角和新媒体中止艺术创作。孙逊以传统的木刻版画为媒介创作动画作品，叙事常常指涉理想和幻想，时间与历史等主题。由爱彼艺术创作委托计划的动画录影作品“偷时间的人”于今年7月在纽约时期广场中止展映，本次展览也将在新加坡呈现这件作品。与孙逊的庞大叙事作风截然不同，同龄艺术家张鼎的作品表征出很强实验性和感官的对立性，通常分离灯光、声音、表演和视觉图像综合项目，建构和解构场域氛围。

Bornin the 80s, Sun Xun and Zhang Ding are younger artists breaking through tonewer perspectives and techniques. Sun Xun uses traditional medium, such aswoodblock printing, to create animations - they tell stories that people canrelate to universally and oftentimes straddle between reality and fantasy, timeand history. This is prominent in Time Spy (2016), an Audermars PiguetArt Commission which is on view for a month from this July, on the electronicbillboards at Times Square in New York City, which will be shown in parallel inthis exhibition as well. The grand narratives and planned nature of Sun Xun’sworks are in contrast to Zhang Ding’s practice, which are mainly experimental,and focuses on the conflicts of sensory perceptions. He often presents his workthrough solo projects where he produces site specific works using light, sound,performance and visual imagery.

艺术家们不同的个人阅历影响着个体的艺术理论，而观念上的转变也体往常他们的作品之中，逐步构成了中国当代艺术的现状。近年来，新媒体艺术蓬勃展开，构成了当代艺术的新格局；波普艺术仍在当代艺术中占有一席之地，并在全球范围内开端新一轮的回潮。

Theartists’ varied experiences impacted their practice and these shifts inview points are reflected in their works, hence forth tremendously shaping thecontemporary art scene in China. The use of Pop Art is still very much utilisedin contemporary art in recent years and are continually being reinventedtogether with the advancement of New Media.
