一个妈妈聊起她的孩子，孩子14岁，今年在美国读8年级，原来都在国内读书。她说自己的孩子托福没有报过什么培训班，考了114分。怎样做到的？她说孩子读原版英文书曾经100多本了。的确，初中就考托福110分以上的，其实不少，我认识的不下6个。他们都是土生土长的中国小朋友，且有一个共同点，都有十分大的阅读量。 有些同窗觉得原著太长读不下去，选择直接拿中文版的译本快速吸取梗概。这是假象，觉得自己读过了《飘》，读过了《当幸福来敲门》等等，其实基本没有。这根买了LV就觉得自己高尚了，想法是相似的。外面挂什么，改动不了骨子里东西。读书只读梗概，体会不到书的内涵。 真正的阅读，慢一点好，并且要精密化的慢。好比在文章“Survival of Plants and Animals in Desert Conditions”读到的一段：
初期我们触及的水平是把几个生词学了，好比ephemeral plants一年生植物；evade逃避，drought干旱；precipitation降雨等等。然后注重读懂句子内容。最后学到几个有用表白，好比given开头的条件句，replenish这个适用动词。 此外我们还要留意到段落中环环相扣的细节处置，好比such plants就指第一句中的ephemeral plants，让第二句扣住第一句。This 让第三句扣住了第二句。The seeds又让第四句扣着第三句。句句都是紧密联络，它们才干成为一个段落…… 担忧读不懂？ 首先让我们看个表：
